For this assignment, you have read about family involvement in early childhood education. Reflect on what you have learned about research on family involvement; families as learning environments; building partnerships with families; tenets of successful family-school programs; and linking families, communities, and early childhood programs. Identify a legislative topic that affects the education of young children. In two separate files, submit the following:

Create an outline for a workshop that could be presented at a parent evening. Include the following components:
• Workshop focus and topic (see above)
• Workshop goals
• Workshop outcomes
• Methods of presentation for the workshop
• Workshop content with details (be specific and include all topics that you intend to present to the parents)
• Evaluation
• Next steps

To accompany your parent workshop, create an informational brochure that briefly presents the highlights of your topic. This brochure should contain additional information that will help the parents to better understand the topic and provide them with sources for more information.
• You may want to include subheads, captions, a logo, graphics, graphs, charts, tables, and/or FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions).
• Your brochure should be appealing to a diverse population, including parents of special needs students and English Language learners.
Brochure length: 2-sided tri-fold brochure (8.5×14 page) presenting the requested information. Three scholarly resources are required. You must include your textbook as one of the resources.
