Question : Married filling jointly, 2018 with income from small business, w2, and retirement totalling 75,000. Had sold crypto currency, acquired in 2013 and 2014 totalling 1,400,000. My tax preparer said we owed 310,000. We’ve paid this however in my research being in the tax bracket onder 77,000 the IRS says my long term capital gains rate is 0%.
