For this second original work, you will actually be submitting multiple works as we are working with poetry. You must submit at least two poems, At least one of those poems must be a form-driven poem (sonnet, ode, villanelle, etc.)!
Make the first page one poem and then the next page the second poem
Poem 1 topic: Heartbreak (in any poem style)
Poem 2 topic: New beginnings (in any poem style)
Make sure that you identify which one I am supposed to be looking at with those form and structure parameters – don’t assume the title will identify it as we can use terms like “ode” to mean other things.
Poems are tricky little things. They can be “easy” to write through quickly, but fine-tuning each example, piece of figurative language, etc. really takes time.
