This assignment is focused on the following key stages: 1. Critically Appraising the Evidence 2. Integrating Evidence into Practice 3. Evaluating the Outcomes of Practice Decisions based on Evidence 4. Disseminating EBP Outcomes This assignment follows on from Assignment 1 (WHICH I WILL PROVIDE), as such uses the same eProblem (Rosie O’Grady). In assignment 1, I was asked to identify key issues, facts, ideas about how to solve the problems, and also what information /evidence you needed to help the problem. In Assignment 2, you will continue to think about this real world clinical problem. After having critically appraised the evidence (Assignment 1), the next step involves considering how this evidence could be integrated into patient care. In Assignment 2, the focus will be on your understanding of the processes, barriers, and considerations about bringing evidence to the bedside. This also needs to include an understanding of how evidence-based practice may be evaluated and findings disseminated. This assignment consists of 3 tasks: Task 1: Identifyng and describing practice recommendations based on research utilisation criteria and hierachy of evidence Task 2: Examining research utilisation strategies Task 3: Evaluating outcomes and disseminating results Individual Written Assignment Task 1 (Word limit = 500) Add your responses in the space below a) Identify and describe three (3) nursing practice recommendations based on the literature which you used in Assignment 1. b) Provide a rationale for each practice recommendation based upon: • the strength of the evidence (using the hierarchy of evidence) • the criteria for research utilisation (relevance, rigour and applicability and implementation) Task 2 (Word limit = 1,100 words) Mark out of: /50 Add your responses in the spaces provided a) Identify and describe one (1) research utilisation framework which may guide strategies in using evidence to support practice change. b) Using your chosen research utilisation framework, outline three (3) strategies nurses could use to facilitate research utilisation within the workplace. c) Outline the ethical considerations which may need to be considered in terms of patient /family/staff preferences in terms of implementing evidence based practice changes.
